Air emissions

Energy sector includes fuel combustion for electricity and heat production, households, agriculture, and industry.

Transport includes emissions from all transport types (rail, air, water, non-road vehicles).

Fugitive emissions from fuels include emissions associated with the extraction, refining, storage, transmission, and distribution of fossil fuels.

The sector "Industrial processes and solvent use" covers processes related to emissions, such as cement production, product use and solvent use. Emissions resulting from energy consumption in industry are calculated in the sector "Energy".

Emissions from livestock and fertilizer use.

The waste sector covers biological treatment of solid waste, incineration of medical waste and open burning of waste, as well as treatment of industrial and household wastewater and other activities. Collection of landfill biogas for energy production, as well as biogas production through anaerobic digestion of sludge in wastewater treatment plants, are included in this sector.
