Municipalities where there is a risk that the levels of pollutants may exceed one or more of the alert thresholds are required to prepare a short-term action plan. By March 31 each year, the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning publishes a list of municipalities where there is a risk of exceeding one or more alert thresholds.
