Large point sources (LPS)

Reporting on LPS is mandatory every 4 years (starting 2017, for year x-2) and submitted by May 1.

  • LPS are installations exceeding emission thresholds for pollutants like SO₂, NOₓ, CO, NMVOCs, NH₃, PM₂.₅, PM₁₀, Pb, Cd, Hg, PAHs, PCDD/F, HCB, PCBs. Required info in the Annex VI template:
    • Geographic coordinates
    • Stack height class
    • Annual emissions
    • E-PRTR ID (if available)
    • Consistency with national inventory
    • Clear sector explanation
  • Reported LPS in North Macedonia:
    • Power and heat production: REK Bitola, REK Oslomej, ESM-Energetika, TE-TO Skopje, Toplana East and West Skopje
    • Iron and steel: Makstil AD Skopje, Liberty Skopje
    • Cement: Cementarnica USJE AD Skopje
    • Ferroalloys: Double Eagle Nickel Kavadarci
